The NEXT MANGA AWARDS are manga awards based on voting by readers that were established by the KADOKAWA Group in 2014. In 2026, 100 works were nominated from a total of 7,952 entries in the Comics and Web Manga categories, and after reader voting, the top 20 and special awards for each category were announced.
“Unexciting Date” is a title that began serialization on GANMA! in December 2024. It has received support from many readers, including ranking 5th in the GANMA! overall rankings (as of August 2026) and 1st in the number of comments (first half of 2026), and has now ranked 17th in the Web Manga category.
