The manga “My Manhood For You” depicts the mismatched love story between a puppy-like boy and a manly girl, that begins when Ai Maeda, a second-year high school student, is suddenly told by Hikaru Yano, a good-looking first-year boy, that he likes her. It has gained popularity mainly through social media and is supported by many readers, with a cumulative total of over 200 million page views on the GANMA! manga app (as of January 2025).
Season one of the live-action, vertical-screen short drama “My Manhood For You,” released in May 2024, received a great response, with the total number of views on social media surpassing 100 million (as of November 2024), and over 100,000 followers of the official “My Manhood For You” drama TikTok account as of February 2025.
Following on from season one, “My Manhood For You Season 2” which has now been released, was once again produced with the cooperation of Gokko Club, one of the top vertical-screen short drama creator groups in Japan, which boasts a total of 5 billion views, 4.5 million social media followers, and an average of 3,086,000 views.
The lead actors Shiori Iwanami (as Ai Maeda) and Iori Abe (as Hikaru Yano) have reprised their roles from season one. The production team has further deepened their understanding of “My Manhood For You”, and in addition to the heart-pounding love story between Ai and Yano, a mismatched couple who are now in a relationship, season two has even more powerful content about the intriguing love lives of the characters around Ai and Yano.
