■ Background and objective
The animation production market exceeded 339 billion yen in 2022, a record high*, and the demand for animation and the quality demanded of works are increasing every year. In 2021, COMISMA spun off its animation production division as Qzil.la Inc. (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Shun Fukudome; hereinafter “Qzil.la”) and has focused on producing high quality works. In order to strengthen its animation production system, COMISMA has decided to acquire the feature-length animation studio production division from Imagica Infos, with whom it has been in a cooperative relationship.
COMISMA will continue to expand its production system centered on Qzil.la, aiming for further growth of its animation business and improvement of the quality of its productions.
